Gcina “Dotcom” Nkula, born 29 May 1988 is a South African rapper/singer/dancer. Dotcom first received attention with his Hip Hop dancing through which he competed at the Hip Hop World Championships in Los Angeles 2007. He was chosen to represent South Africa again in 2009 in Las Vegas. In that same year he conquered as overall winner at Masters of Rhythm which is broadcasted on VUZU and seen as the biggest dance competition in Africa, in popping&locking. During December 2008 he was invited to teach dance classes in St Petersburg, Russia. He received valuable recognition for his dancing through which was given the opportunity to participate in various professional dancing programmes. A highlight within his dancing career was when he choreographed a couple Hip Hop numbers for South Africa’s, So you think you can dance in 2010 & 2013.

He was chosen to dance during opening ceremony of the FIFA soccer world Cup that was hosted by South Africa in 2010. During the same year he starred in South Africa’s first dance movie, Zion, due to be released soon. In the same year, he graduated from the University of Johannesburg, in October, with a BA Human Resources management degree.

With a passion for Hip Hop he pursued his music career during 2011 and has received recognition for his exceptional diversity and talent within the music industry. During 2011, he opened for well renowned American rappers such as Busta Rhymes and Fat Joe at ZAR fest Zimbabwe. He was also approached to perform at the Zuma-wedding after party.

For his first single, GET MINE”, he was chart topping as no.1 on 5fm Hip Hop Power Nights, hosted by DJ C-live and was playlisted on high rotation on Yfm, UJ fm, Bush radio and Trance Africa radio. His solo career received more recognition with the launch of his first music video for “GET MINE”.He recently released another track from his upcoming mixtape, called “Hatin on D” and has received positive and promising feedback from the music industry, as well as fans. His mixtape, M.O.E.T (Music Over Every Thing, hosted by DJ C-Live) was released early 2013 and received over 6000 downloads.

His style of music can be described as lyrically based Hip Hop/RnB as he raps and sings his own choruses, as can be heard on GET MINE” and various other tracks on the mixtape. He is inspired by all forms of music that can be influential to his own individual approach and style within his artistry.
